Construction Of Rumuagholu Road Excites Residents
Some residents, traders
and commercial drivers of Rumuagholu community in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area have expressed delight with the Rivers State Government over the reconstruction of their road.
The people made this known in an interview with The Tide in the area recently, saying the government of Rivers State under the able leadership of Governor Nyesom Wike had done a good thing to them for their business and other activities to strive as a result of the good road network and human accessibility.
According to them, the reconstruction of the road had brought succour and great relief to both the residents, traders and commercial drivers in the area.
They thanked the Governor, for coming to their aid in reconstruction of the dilapidated road which was described as a “death trap”, adding that with the development, business activities would strive, farm products could be transportated easily to the markets, vehicles will no longer sink or develop faults unnecessarily on the road and people will walk to their places of aboard without much problem during the rainy season.
A resident who simply gave her name as Hope said, everybody is happy with the project, and that customers patronage to her hair saloon products had improved tremendously unlike before, and also thanked the government for coming to their aid.
A petty trader on cloths, Nwachukwu Kanu also appreciated the government for the project and described the governor as the people’s governor for doing a great job without destroying any building or shops during the construction, stressing that the road has boosted economic activities in the area.
Another resident, Emmanuella Ogbonna gave kudos to the governor for a job well done as the good road network had made people to access wherever they want or purchase their house-hold needs.
According to her, since the construction of the road, her daily sales on car oil had improved like never before, and thanked the government for the project.
A driver, Emeka Obinna, a second hand cloth dealer, Sonny King and a trader, Ikey Imo, all lauded the present administration’s interest in road construction which they said had opened windows for business to strive and enjoined the government to keep up the tempo while praying God for more courage and good governance.
