20 million Nigerian Women To Access Int’l Market
The resolve by the wife
of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Aisha Buhari, to take Nigerian women to the next level, by assuring their future, was made more glaring earlier in the week as she signed a call-to-action through partnership with The Tony Elumelu Foundation and the United Bank for Africa (UBA) to empower Nigerian women.
At a forum and exhibition on Nigerian women in export in Abuja Wednesday, the wife of the president, Mrs Aisha Buhari, extolled the commitment of Nigerian women to hardwork, stating that they only need a little push.
The wife of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mrs Aisha Buhari, has said that the time is ripe for Nigerian women to be assisted to the next level.
At a forum and exhibition on Nigerian Women in Export in Abuja Wednesday, Mrs Buhari said “Nigerian are extremely hardworking”, hence they need only a push of which now is the time to do so.
Delivering the keynote address at the forum, Mrs Buhari expressed her desire to lead a call to the Federal government to assign 20% of public procurement to women-owned businesses.
Meanwhile, the wife of the President, in collaboration with the wife of the Vice President; Mrs Dolapo Osibanjo and a leading African businessman, Tony Elumelu, have signed a call-to-action through partnership with Tone Elumelu Foundation and United Bank for Africa (UBA) to empower Nigerian women, an initiative which is geared towards connecting one million women to the international market by 2020.
