Monarch Warns Law Students Against Cultism
Law students have been
adviced to distance themselves from cultism and any other act that may bring shame and disrespect to the legal profession.
The paramount ruler /Nye Nwe Eli Rumuogba His Royal Highness Eze Temple N. Ejekwu gave the advice Saturday when the Executive Members of Law Students Association of Nigeria Rivers State University of Science and Technology Chapter paid him a courtesy visit in his palace in Obio/Akpor Local Government.
He said the advice became imperative after observing the trend of things on going in the country’s higher institutions.
He charged the students to leave enduring legacies that would be beneficial to their sucessors.
The Eze Ogba Iji nu-ede, also blamed “part of the decay in the society on the inability of some authorities to apply the law”.
He stressed that “cases like criminal matters must not be handled individually, if the country wants to make any head way”.
Earlier in his speech, the RSUST, LAWSAN president, Comrade Chioma, said they had come to intimate the paramount ruler on their plans to feature him on their magazine, the Advocate.
He thanked the royal father for his assistance to the union, and promised to lead a vibrant union devoid of any questionable character.
