MOMTA Hails Amaechi Over Release Of N300m To Traders
The Mile One Market
Traders Association (MOMTA), has hailed the Rivers State Governor, Rt Hon Chibuike Amaechi for the release of N300 million he promised recently for relief to traders for the 2013 December fire incident at the market.
Reacting to the development while interacting with The Tide in Port Harcourt, the Chairman of MOMTA, Deacon Kenneth Eze, explained that the release was timely and very much accepted and appreciated by traders.
He said that the governor’s timely release of such sum to the traders at this time of scarcity of funds, was a clear testimony that he has the welfare of traders at heart.
Eze described the governor as a man of action, who matches his words with action, and that such demonstration of generosity has rekindled the support of traders to his administration.
The chairman posited that Amaechi, by this action, has endeared himself more to him and the executive of the association.
“I do not believe in a king that I have not benefited from. Any king that recognizes me is the one I will talk about his goodness, and that is why I am talking about what Governor Amaechi has done”, Eze said.
He, however, posited that such relief fund will be distributed evenly to the affected traders, and remarked that the traders will not forget this gesture, but will reciprocate by giving support to the state government.
