Crusaders Eulogise Apostle Numbere
Christians from various
denominations thronged the Greater Evangelism World Crusade International Headquarters last Sunday over the death of the founder of the church.
Apostle Numbere was remembered in several ways by worshippers who praised to God for the life of the evangelist during the monthly healing service.
Evangelist Lawrence Hart who delivered the sermon quoted several passages from the Bible and enjoined the congregation to focus on the God that listens and answers prayers.
The message provoked many worshippers to give their lives to Christ during the service.
The Board of Trustees (BoT) of the GEWC, represented by Rivers State Superintendent Minister, Pastor Ibim Alabrama, formally announced the passing on of the visionary leader, on Wednesday, 15t October, 2014.
Describing Apostle Numbere as dedicated and worthy of emulation, Pastor Alabrama recounted some of the sweeping reforms brought by the departed pastor, not only to the Kalabari people but other Nigerians and the world at large.
He said a burial committee has been formed by the BoT, adding that a detailed burial arrangement would be announced later.
In honour of the beloved apostle, a minute of silence was observed before an uplifting benediction.
