Director Tasks Pool Agents On Global Standard
The need for pool agents in Rivers to operate in line with global standard and adapt to modern practice has been stressed just as they should pray for members to excel in the business.
The Director, I. E. Pools Limited, Mr Emeka Iwezor gave the charge at the Thanksgiving/End of Year Party organised by the Rivers State Pool Agents Union, Trans-Amadi branch recently.
Iwezor who was father of the day at the occasion said that pool business has changed from what it used to be when it was seen as a business for never-do-wells and urged the operators to flow with the emerging dynamics in the business.
He enjoined new entrants and old dealers in the business to learn the new ropes to enable the business thrive, pointing out that the thanksgiving event would go a long way to help pool agents in the state move forward.
In his speech, chairman of the occasion, Mr Daniel Amaechi underscored the importance of the ceremony, saying that thanking God was a way of asking Him to increase His blessings in their business and urged pool agents in Rivers State to protect the business by supporting and working in synergy with their pool promoters.
Amaechi advised pool agents to avoid any act capable of bringing embarrassment to their business, pointing out that the objective of the business was for them to benefit and not to loss.
Pastor Handy Akpabio of King’s Chapel in his sermon during the thanksgiving service reminded them that through thanksgiving, God can work miracles, noting that thanksgiving is a moment of joy which allows the presence of God to overwhelm the heart of man.
Earlier in his address, the chairman of the branch, Mr Zico Okprauba thanked pool promoters and elders of the union for their support and pledged his loyalty and quality service to the union.
