Finance Commissioner Quits Fashola‘s Cabinet
The Lagos State Commissioner for Finance, Mr Tokumbo Abiru on Monday resigned his appointed as Commissioner.
Governor Babatunde Fashola announced the commissioner’s resignation?during the state Executive Council Meeting in Alausa, Ikeja, statement?signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media,Mr Hakeem Bello, said.
The governor said Abiru resigned to take up an appointment?at First Bank Nigeria Plc as Executive Director and commended his dedication to the service of the state in his? two years in the cabinet.
The governor wished Abiru well in his new appointment and expressed confidence that he would excel in the job.
In his resignation letter to the governor, Abiru?expressed gratitude to Fashola for giving him the opportunity to serve the state.
Abiru?said he remained committed to the progress of the state and that he would render his service to the state again?if the opportunity came ?in the future.
