Hospital Partners Indian Firms On Health Care
In line with the objective of bringing medical solution closer to the people, a Port Harcourt-based medical outfit, First Rivers Hospital Limited has signed multiple Memorandum of Understanding, (MoU) with two of India’s foremost Medical Centres, Ruby Hall Clinic and Trans-Medical Healthcare Limited.
The MoU agreement facilitated by Reneva International is intended to upgrade the facilities and healthcare services at First Rivers Hospital to a World Class standard with modern technologies in X-Rays, Sonograpy, CT Scan/MRI, Cathlab, Dialysis Laboratory, and video conferencing suite.
According to the Chief Executive Officer, Ruby Hall Clinic, Bomi Bhote, this partnership agreement between First Rivers Hospital and Ruby Hall Clinic “will drive effort to upgrade the facilities at First Rivers Hospital to international standards and provide unlimited access to specialist consultancies at Ruby Hall Clinic via video links so as to obtain on-time diagnostics and quality second opinion at your finger tip”.
He pointed out that the partnership will also enhance proper examination management of medical cases in Nigeria without the extra burden of overseas travels while only complicated suspension could be sent out for specialist care.
In the view of the MD/CEO of Reneva International Limited, Dr Renny H Cookey, the partnership places First Rivers Hospital at a vantage position of becoming one of the most effective healthcare providers in the country and abroad in no distant time.
Medical Director, First Rivers Hospital Dr Sola Olanrewaju described the partnership as “an opportunity that cannot be missed.” The agreement which has a duration of 5 years and is renewable for a longer period thereafter, has the potential to attract Foreign Direct Investment as well as technology transfer opportunities and significant employment to the region.
