Immigration Boss Harps On Hardwork
Hardwork and dedication to duty has been described as the
panacea to high productive standard and efficient service delivery to the
society.
The Comptroller of Immigration Service, Rivers State
Command, Steve Achese Fimibama, who made the remarks during the decoration of
newly promoted officers with their new ranks last Monday, at the Federal
Secretariat Complex, Port Harcourt, said that the promotion exercise is a
recognition of the efforts and rewards for hardwork put in by the 41 decorated
officers in their various capacities.
He charged them to see their elevation to new ranks as a
clarion call to serve, and should live up to their corresponding
responsibilities, as it behoves on them to be dutiful and dedicated to the
service of their father land.
Fimibama enjoined those yet to be promoted to be patient and
diligent to duties, nothing that every effort put in by staff toward achieving
the objective of the command would be rewarded accordingly in due course.
The Brigade Commander of 82 Division, Port Harcourt,
Brigadier-General T.Y. Buratai, charged the officers to work harder to attract
more promotion and incentives.
He commended the Immigration Service for partnering with the
army in the area of security and checking the influx of illegal immigrants into
the country.
The Brigade Commander, noted that operations of ‘Pulo
Shield’ could not have been successful if not for the assistance and
co-operation of the immigration. “The oil theft lave been more on foreigners,
which the immigration have been so wonderful in prosecuting them,” he remarked.
In a vote of thanks, Mr. Atama, on behalf of the
beneficiaries promised to live up to the corresponding responsibilities
associated with the new ranks and wished colleagues who are yet to be promoted
Gods intervention in their fortune.
