LG Boss Assures Northerners Of Safety
The Acting Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government, Hon. Bestman Amadi, has assured northerners in the area of round-the-clock safety.
Amadi said this Wednesday at Isiokpo the council’s headquarters while addressing the people on security matters.
He said the move became necessary due to the upsurge of insecurity in the country as some northerners in the south were already harbouring fears.
The KELGA boss, also noted that there was need to take adequate security measures so as to ensure protection of lives and property of the people.
He advised parents and guardians to monitor their children/wards, adding that if they shun violence and embrace peace, the area would be greeted with even growth and development.
Furthermore, he reiterated the council’s earlier resolution to support any youth with a good vision, while calling on them to remain steadfast in their quest to attain greatness.
Some security personnel who also spoke, warned landlords on yhe need to have good knowledge of their tenants as part of measures to beef up security in the area.
According to them, such simple initiatives would go a long way in ensuring adequate security of lives and property.
