Sharks FC Falls To Enyimba In Aba
Sharks FC of Port Harcourt yesterday at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba suffered their second loss in as many matches in the 2012 Nigeria Professional League season via a 2-0 reverse to Enyimba FC.
The Blue Angels, having lost the opening fixture 2-1 to Shooting Stars Sports Club, 3SC, had hoped to at least goal or point from the peoples Elephant in Aba.
Sharks were however, undone by two first half goals, which saw Enyimba secure their second victory of the season to more joint early peace setters on the log.
Defender, Piere Goky, who was arguably the man-of-the-match on Sharks side, had put Enyimba ahead with an own goal on the 13th minute, while captain Josaiah Maduabuchi converted a penalty, eight minutes later to seal the win.
Sharks’ game improved in the second half but their game lacked the cohesion and force to really trouble their hosts.
In a related development, sister club Dolphins FC had lost to Kwara United by a lone goal in Uorin on Saturday.
