Cleric Tasks Parishioners On Church Building
A cleric of the Catholic Institute of West Africa (CIWA) Rev. Father James Afangideh, has called on the parishioners to take active part in the building of the house of God, who would in turn prosper them.
Rev Afangideh stated this at the harvest mass tagged “Build for the Lord and Prosper” last Sunday, in Port Harcourt.
He noted that givers never lack and urged the faithfuls to give thanks to God for what He has done and for the many blessing they have received.
Be open to build for the Lord and He will open the door of blessing upon you and you will prosper in the land,” he said.
Also speaking, the harvest committee chairman Dr Francis Beka, thanked God for the day which he described as special in the parish as they celebrate the 2011 children and youth harvest thanksgiving and bazaar, noting we are indeed very proud to have active children and youths in our parish.
Dr Beka said he cannot but thank God for His goodness, considering that the roofing of the church is about to be completed and many other works have been done in the building within the last two months. “So today we will thank God bountifully so that He will continue to give us the grace and ability to do much more,” he added.
He called on parishioners to join hands to build for the Lord and create channels for the Lord to continue to remember, bless and prosper them, and urged parents to continue to render generous support to their children and wards.
