Edo Gov Lauds India’s Strides In Medicine
Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has commended India for its sustained growth particularly in the area of medicine.
The Governor made the assertion in Government House, Benin City when he granted audience to a team of medical experts from India under the auspices of Rotary International, District 9140.
Governor Oshiomhole remarked that India though a developing country like Nigeria, has made remarkable strides in the medical field which has been extended beyond its national boundary.
He commended Rotary International for its commitment to enhance the welfare of the needy and humanity in general.
The Governor said the free medical services will no doubt consolidate on the existing relationship between Nigerian and India.
Leader of the delegation and district governor, Rotary International District 9140, Dr. Uduak Iyang told Governor Oshiomhole that the mission is billed to render free medical services to the poor and needy.
He disclosed that about 15,000 persons are expected to benefit from the exercise which will take place at Auchi within the next two weeks.
The medical team comprise of eight medical doctors and four volunteers.
