Re-Run Polls: Police Warn Trouble Makers
The Rivers State Police Command has warned that it will not tolerate any politician who fails to conduct him or herself during the forthcoming rerun elections in the state.
The state Commissioner of Police, Musa Kimo, gave the warning at a security meeting with candidates for the elections.
Kimo said no politician will be allowed to go about with any security personnel on the day of the election.
Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Resident Electoral Commissioner in Rivers State, Aniedi Ikoiwak, also warned politicians against ballot snatching on Election Day.
Meanwhile, our correspondent reports that a mild drama occurred at the stakeholders’ forum when the APC state Chairman, Dr Davies Ibiamu Ikanya openly accused the PDP of killing APC members in the state.
While reacting, the PDP Chairman in Rivers State, Felix Obuah, called on security agents to investigate the state APC chairman over his utterances concerning the killings in ONELGA.
