Re-Run: Obalga PDP Assures On Victory
As the Independent Na
tional Electoral Commission (INEC) prepares for the re-run election in Rivers State, the PDP in Obio/Akpor LGA says it is ready for the re-run election as scheduled by the commission.
The Chairman of PDP campaign organisation in Obio/Akpor, Hon Barr George Ariolu gave the assurance at the party’s solidarity rally organised at Woji in the area.
He commended the party faithful for showing commitment all through the trying times and urged them to remain steadfast.
Hon Ariolu said the party was in the area to solicit for votes from the people adding that members should get their permanent Voter’s Cards (PVC) ready for the re-run election.
Ariolu said as law-abiding citizens they accepted the lower courts order to return the polls since matters concerning the affected offices could not be taken to the Supreme Court.
“Obedience to the law is the means through which you bring peace to the land”, he said.
“Please, don’t release your PVCs to anybody so that it will not be tampered with, which will result to rejection by the card leader and a minus to the party on Election Day”, he added.
He urged the party members to give their maximum support to PDP candidates as they did to Chief Nyesom Wike which made him to be the most outstanding governor in Nigeria.
