Musa Backs Nigeria To Win CHAN
Super Eagles captain
Ahmed Musa has said the country’s ‘B’ team have everything to win the 2016 CHAN in Rwanda.
He said the team will not be lacking in quality because he has trained with several of the players on the CHAN squad.
“I know the team have all the qualities to win CHAN in Rwanda,” said the CSKA Moscow star, who also featured for the Nigeria ‘B’ team in 2009.
“I have trained with some of the players in the team and I know what they are capable of doing. I also watched the team train. I just wish them good luck and success at CHAN.”
In related vein, Juwon Oshaniwa of Scottish club Hearts and John Ogu from Maccabi Tel Aviv of Israel have also thrown their weight behind the CHAN Eagles to rule Africa in Rwanda.
“I am wishing the team a victorious outing at CHAN. They should just go all out and do what they know how to do best on the pitch with determination and enthusiasm collectively,” Oshaniwa charged.
“I wish them luck and trust them to make us proud. I am praying for them,” Ogu added.
Nigeria, who finished third at the 2014 tournament, will begin their 2016 campaign on Monday against Niger.
They will also face Tunisia and Guinea in the group phase of the championship.
