Coach Advises Siasia On Grey Areas
The Flying Eagles Coach,
Manu Garba, on Thursday urged Samson Siasia to beef up the grey areas in the team with the reservoir of Nigerian players across the globe.
Garba, who made the call in an interview with newsmen in Abuja, congratulated Siasia for qualifying to the
Rio 2016 Olympics.
He, however, urged the coaching staff and officials of the team to work on the deficiencies experienced during the match.
“I must congratulate Samson Siasia and the entire coaching staff and officials for qualifying for the Rio 2016 Olympics ahead of the host country Senegal.
“Now the team has to work hard to win the trophy but most importantly they have already made it to the Olympics.
“They should beef up the grey areas in the team with the reservoir of players across the globe.
“ The most important thing is that Nigeria has won but we should work on our grey areas in the team,’’ the U-20 coach said.
Nigeria defeated host country Senegal 1-0 in a semi-final encounter at the ongoing Africa Under-23 Championship.
