Royal Hoopers Set To Defend B’Ball League Title
The Chief Coach of Royal Hoopers Basket ball club Ogoh Odandu has said that his club would defend the DSTV Nigeria Basketball Premier League title this season.
Odaudu said this while fielding question from sports journalists shortly after his side defeated police Batous of Lagos 59 – 49 recently.
The game was the opening game in the DSTV Basketball league in 2012 season.
He commended his players for the victory, but admitted that the players were not in their best farm.
“I thank God for the victory. But as the league progresses our game will improve”, he said.
{This is just the first game of the 14 games league games. We all know that opening matches are always difficult” Odaudu said.
The Chief coach continued that the technical crew would go back to drawing board to take one of the shortcoming noticed in the game.
He said the club has signed is now players to ensure that they defend the title and become African Champions this term.
“We are really committed and determined to make the state proud” he said.
