Bayelsa Deputy Gov Lauds Jonathan Over FEC Dissolution
The Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State Rt. Hon. Peremabomei Ebebi has lauded Acting President Goodluck Jonathan over the dissolution of the Executive Council of the Federation Wednesday.
Rt. Hon. Ebebi, who spoke with newsmen Wednesday at the Port Harcourt International Airport Omagwa, said that the acting presidents, action was a step in the right direction.
According to him, the acting president’s action was a mere demonstration of the country’s constitution.
He also called on Jonathan to look into Niger Delta issue and take the appropriate action.
He noted that he (Jonathan) should also dig into the 7-point agenda of president Yar’Adua and consider those of urgent demand and attend to them based on merit.
Also speaking, the Vice President of Niger Delta Youth Council (NDYC), Comrade Chinwendu Isaac Ordunwa, charged the acting president to act fast towards the actualisation of the amnesty programme.
Comrade Ordunwa argued that it will among other things, bring a lasting solution to the aged long Niger Delta struggle/neglect.
He pointed out that God has answered the prayers of the Niger Deltas saying that Jonathan should be bold and face the tasks squarely.
However, he has called on all youths in the country, especially the Niger Delta Youths to rally round the acting president and give him the required support to enable him achieve the set goals.
