Gov Amaechi, Others Attend Wedding Of CNS Daughter
Rivers State Governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, represented by his deputy, Engr. Tele Ikuru, was among dignitaries who graced the solemnization of holy matrimony between Zainab Ibrahim and Olatunde Adeitan at the weekend.
Former Miss Zainab Ibrahim is the daughter of the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ishaya Ibrahim.
The wedding ceremony, which held at the Evangelical Church of West Africa (ECWA), Wuse Zone 2, Abuja, attracted dignitaries including state governors, the Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Paul Dike, Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Oluseyi Petinrin, former service chiefs, among others.
In a sermon at the ceremony, Rev. Paul Rotua enjoined couples to respect the sacredness of the marriage institution, noting that “the honourable estate of marriage is derived from it spiritual essence”.
He stressed that success in marriage is hinged on effective communication, mutual respect and trust, urging couples to trust their marriages to God’s providence.
Underscoring the need for tolerance among couples, Rev Rotua said “marriage is not based on feelings … but on obedience to God’s word. You should seek out each other’s needs and satisfy them”.
