NKBA To Grade Kick-boxers In Port Harcourt
President of the Nigeria Kick-boxers Assocaition (NKBA), Sensei Victor Bassey says the body is to hold a kickboxing grading programme tagged “7th National Kickboxing Grading Exams/Technical Workshop’ December 10 to 13 this year, in Port Harcourt.
Sensei Bassey, made this known at the weekend in an exclusive chat with Tidesports at the kickboxing secretariat, Alfred Diete-Spiff Sports Complex, Port Harcourt.
He said that the programme is geared towards upgrading kickboxers to their belt grade according to the international standard of the sport.
He continued that all kickboxers across the federation are expected to participate in the exercise, adding that, the Rivers State athletes are presently training intensively ahead of the programme.
“Some kickboxers do not understand what it takes to own a grade belt in the sports but, I believe that with the fourth-coming grading/technical seminar for athletes and coaches, they would have a better knowledge of belt grade in kick boxing,: he added.
An international “kickboxing reference and former world kickboxing champion, from Palestine, Nizar Taleb, is expected to be the special guest of honour.”
Taleb, is also going to do the grading to those athletes who deserve the various belt grade.
