UTME Begins May 6 As JAMB Reels Out Principles
Th Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), is set to commence from Friday, May 6 through Saturday, May 14.
Organisers of the examination, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) said notification slips for the examination were ready and urged candidates to begin printing ahead the examination day to ease the process.
The Head, Public Affairs and Protocol, Fabian Benjamin, who revealed this in a statement said the date would not be rescheduled, maintaining that all principles guiding the examination would be upheld.
Benjamin said: “The 2022 UTME scheduled for Friday, May 6 to Saturday, May 14 will not be rescheduled for whatever reason. Candidates are also reminded that the ban on prohibited items is still in force”.
“These items include flash drives, calculators, mobile phones, smart watches, recorders, jewelries, spy reading glasses, etc. The candidates are advised to prepare ahead and stay close to their venues. If possible, they should pay a prior visit to their centres before the day of the examination.
In another statement released to JAMB Bulletin, the Director, Information Technology Services, Fabian Okoro said, “all candidates are advised to print slips on time so as to know the location of their examination centres, date of their scheduled sessions and time of the examination beforehand especially with the adjustment in examination schedules this year”.
