Court Remands Father Over Alleged Bribery
A Chief Magistrate Court in Port Harcourt, presided over by Chief Magistrate F.N Amanze, has remanded Wigoh Enuolara, father of 12-year-old defilement survivor for allegedly collecting N800,000 from an accused..
The accused, Collins Azunna, aged 39 years allegedly defiled the 12-years-old child of Mr. Enuolara
When the suspect was brought for arraignment, the defence lawyer, Edwin Woka, informed the court that the father of the child had collected N800,000 from the family of the suspect.
The counsel stated that the suspect was only charged to court because he refused to be extorted further by the father of the 12-years-old girl.
The Tide reports that E.B Igwe, lawyer holding brief for Wigoh Enuolara told the court that his client did not agree to settlement but the Investigating Police Officer at Eleme Police Division pressured his client according to what his client told him.
