Monarch Harps On Peace In Ogu/Bolo
The Chiefs and people of
Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area have been advised to continue to live in peace and unity so as to move the local government area forward.
The Amanyanabo of Ogu Kingdom, HRM King Nicholas Ibiebele Nimenibo Loko IX made the call at a banquette held in his honour as the President of Ogu/Bolo Council of Chiefs at his palace in Ogu recently.
Nimenibo Loko IX said with brotherly love and peaceful co-existence, the local government area would witness rapid development, urging all to jealously guard the existing peace in the area to attract government projects and economic growth in the area.
The royal father further enjoined them to regard peace, love and unity as their watchwords, pointing out that the beauty of the epoch-making ceremony was the prevailing peace in the LGA.
He commended Senator George Thompson Sekibo and the Chief Whip of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon Evans Bapakaye Bipi for their love for the LGA and urged them to aspire to greater heights.
In his speech, Chief George Thompson Sekibo thanked the initiators of the ceremony and expressed optimism that royal father would justify the confidence in him as the president of Ogu/Bolo council of chiefs.
Also speaking, Hon Evans Bapakaye Bipi, representing Ogu/Bolo Constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly thanked the Chiefs for the honour done to the Amanyanabo of Ogu Kingdom, HRM King Nicholas Ibiebele Nimenibo Loko IX and enjoined the chiefs to shun envy and love one another.
