Institute Seeks AfCAFTA Implementation
The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Nigeria has called on the Federal Government to implement the African Free Trade Agreement.
President of the institute, Mfon Usoro, said this at the pre-conference webinar on the 2023 National Conference and Annual General Meeting of CILT.
Next week’s event will be chaired by Festus Keyamo, Minister of Aviation & Aerospace Development.
She added that the institute would offer solutions to tackle transport and logistics challenges.
According to the Chairman of the Planning Committee of the conference, Prof. Kayode Oyesiku, the conference has been themed “Designing the future of transportation and logistics in Africa”.
Oyesiku noted that the choice of holding the conference in Lagos was connected with the resounding success CILT had in the 2020 CILT conference.
”Doing this in succession shows also that Lagos metropolis offers diversified, multimodal transportation system”, he said.
