APC Chieftain Lauds Wike On Flyover Projects
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Barrister Kingsley Wenenda Weli, says Governor Nyesom Wike has been able to leave a legacy in Rivers State.
Weli, who stated this while speaking with Journalists in Port Harcourt, said the construction of flyover bridges has reduced the hardship residents experienced in the streets of Port Harcourt in the past.
According to him, it now takes me 20 minutes to get to Government Reserved Area (GRA) from University of Port Harcourt. This has reduced the burden of being in traffic
Weli, a political activist, said whether anybody likes it or not, Wike has left legacy for himself and for the State.
“Rivers State will remember him for the construction of flyover bridges and other infrastructure in the State. These bridges are in Rivers State. The projects are ample testimony that Rivers people love and are indeed well pleased with their number one citizen.
“Although I am a strong supporter of APC, I must commend the governor for promising and fulfilling to give focused attention to the State’s physical and economic infrastructure and ensure that he delivers fabulous roads, bridges and flyovers to connect all parts of our State to ease the movement of goods and services, enhance economic growth and accelerate the development of the State,” he said.
He said the governor has silenced the opposition in the state, adding that he did what people could see, saying that everyone would see the streetlights shining and the beautiful roads and bridges.
Weli cautioned politicians to be mindful of words while campaigning, adding that the wrong use of words could lead to violence if not properly guided.
He urged political parties in the state to follow the rule of law if they must use public schools for their campaigns.
Weli also said his choice to support his party and the Governorship Candidate, Pastor Tonye Cole cannot be comprised.
