Okon Expresses Optimism For Total Victory In Ijebu-Ode
The Rivers Angels Coach, Edwin Okon has expressed optimism that his team will emerge victorious over FC Robo, today, in the Match day 10 fixtures of the ongoing Nigeria Women Football League clash scheduled to hold in Ijebu -Ode, Lagos State.
According to Coach Okon, FC Robo is a strong side and compacts as a team, believe the “Jewel of Rivers” is sure of grabbing maximum points to consolidate more on their position.
Speaking to Tidesports yesterday, Okon charged his side to put up a formidable appearance as champions against one of the most difficult sides in the league.
“We are in Ijebu-Ode for all three points against a well compact side, FC Robo and we believe they are beatable”, Okon said.
“We have done it before and this time will not be different, the plan is to tame all their tactics and leave victoriously at the end.
“The team is aware of what is at stake and we are fully charged to get the job done, despite missing some key players currently on national assignment, we will not be complacent”, Okon assured
Victory for Rivers Angels will see them extend their lead on the log from 19 points currently to 22 points while FC Robo Queens are fourth with 13 points.
Rivers Angels now have four matches to wrap up the NWFL 2021/2022 football season for Super 6 playoffs.
