Rivers Angels Host Delta Queens FC In PH
Rivers Angels FC has reaffirmed its readiness to host its Delta State counterpart, Delta Queens FC today, in one of the matchday 9 fixtures of the ongoing 2021/2022 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) in Port Harcourt.
The encounter which is expected to be a thriller, would be played at the UNIPORT Sporting Complex, Choba.
The Jewels of Rivers have said that they will do what they know how to do best, which is going for the maximum points for the day. They would be going for nothing less than total victory in today’s battle against their visitors.
The Angels, who are leading in their group have promised to have it going, rather than dropping points. It is no doubt that today’s match would be a show down between the homers and their visitors.
On the other hand, the visitors who are currently on 13 points would fight to ensure a win to move to the point or at least, be at per with their host, who are the current leaders of the group, Group B.
It would be recalled that Rivers Angels secured a 2-0 away victory against their week 8 host, Sunshine Queens, at the Ondo Sports Complex, Akure to get to the top of Group B with 16 points.
Also, Delta Queens who are currently second on the chart with 13 points won 2-0 against visiting Abia Angels in Asaba last Wednesday.
