Rotary Club Presents Books, Other Items To Schools
The Rotary Club of Port Harcourt has presented books and other items to some primary schools in Port Harcourt to promote learning in Rivers State.
The club presented both text books and exercise books, white boards, dusters, packets of markers, desks and teachers tables to the schools.
The President of Rotary Club of Port Harcourt, Rtn Mike Ezeanya while presenting the books and the other items to State Primary School I, Olanada and State Primary School II, Olanada, Rumuola in Port Harcourt, yesterday said the club was taking the bold step in order to enhance and promote education in the State.
He urged the schools to judiciously use the items and improve the learning conditions of the pupils.
The Head Teacher of State Primary School I, Olanada, Juliana Jack, while receiving the items, thanked the club for the gesture, and promised to utilise them for the purpose they were given.
Also, her counterpart in State Primary School II, Mrs Nkechinyere Amadi equally thanked the club, stressing that she was highly elated by the uncommon gesture.
