RSG Commissions NURSS Secretariat, Today
The Rivers State Government has confirmed that the secretariat of the National Union of Rivers State Students (NURSS) built by the state government would be commissioned, today in Port Harcourt, the state capital.
In a statement signed by the state Commissioner for Information and Communications, Pastor Paulinus Nsirim, the government said that the students’ body, which was founded over 60 years ago, now has a permanent secretariat for the first time in history.
“It is fully furnished with a 400-capacity auditorium, ICT centre, cafeteria, conference rooms and offices”.
The statement added that “this star project is Governor Nyesom Wike’s contribution to the development of students’ unionism.
“Please, note that all Covid-19 protocols will be observed at the venue,” the statement further stressed.
