Apochi Must Not Lose Next Fight – Oboh
Former WBA Intercontinental light heavyweight champion, Peter Oboh, has urged Efe ‘Nigerian Pit Bull’ Apochi’s management team to ensure he wins his next fight, saying another loss may derail the Nigerian’s ambition of winning a world title.
Brandon Glanton upset Apochi in a cruiserweight fight last week, with a rematch likely. A worried Oboh called on the Nigerian boxer’s team to double their efforts and ensure that he does not fall in the rankings.
He said, “He (Apochi) should learn from his mistakes. It is obvious that he is a good fighter, but not a perfect one, so, he must improve on his skills. He is still maturing and has to move up to a world-class league.
“My greatest worry is that he may have lost his fear factor and this might make him vulnerable. He is called the Pit Bull and I hope that he has the strength to fight his way back to the Top.
