Woji-Alesa-Aleto Road: Monarch Pledges Conducive Environment
Woji community in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area has pledged to provide a conducive environment for the construction of the woji-Aleto-Alesa Refinery Road.
The Eze Woji/Paramount ruler of the community, Eze Emeka Ihunwo, said this during the flagg off of the project by the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.
Eze Ihunwo said Woji community was known for its peace and hospitality, adding that there was no time the community had disturbed contractors working in the area.
The Woji monarch also revealed that the director of the company constructing the road, is a member of his council of chiefs.
“By the grace of God nobody can fight against himself. Let me start by saying that the Director of the construction company is one of my Chiefs in council so we cannot fight him.
“We will give him all the support he needs from us.”
Ihunwo said the project was not the first being embarked upon by the present administration in the community, stressing that the Wike-led administration has sited so many projects in woji community.
He described the Woji-Alesa-Aleto Refinery road and bridge, with a spur to the east-west road, as one of the most economically viable projects being embarked upon by Governor Wike.
The monarch said the road will reduce traffic congestion at the Akpajo section of the east-west road and as well open up more economic opportunities for the area.
“It will boost a lot of economic activities to the glory of God. It will improve and enhance movement of people including vehicular movement,” he said.
Eze Ihunwo said the community will not relent in its supports to Governor Wike, adding, “we are praying that God should give him a higher responsibility”.
