S’East Govs Launch Ebubeagu Regional Security

The five governors of the South-East region, yesterday, launched Ebubeagu regional security to fight terrorism in the zone. The Chairman, South-East Governors’ Forum and Ebonyi State Governor, Engr Dave Umahi, disclosed this to newsmen at the Imo State Government House, alongside with other South-East governors.
According to him, the regional security would be the joint vigilante from South-East with their headquarters in Enugu State.
It would be recalled that following the wave of attacks on public institutions, especially the police stations in the South-East, the five governors of the South-East had stormed Owerri, yesterday, to take strong decisions on the issue of insecurity in the zone.
The governors in attendance were, Dr Okezuo Ikpeazu of Abia State; Willie Obiano of Anambra; Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu; Engr Dave Umahi of Ebonyi; and the host, Senator Hope Uzodimma.
Also sitting alongside with the South-East governors included, the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Prof George Obiozor, as well as top security chiefs in the zone.
