Odual Link Road To Cost Billions Of Naira -LG Boss
Chairman of Abua/Odual Local Government Area, Hon Daniel O. Daniel says either the state or federal government will require billons of Naira to build road linking the Odual axis of the local government to the rest of the state.
Daniel who said this while speaking to newsmen shortly after casting his vote said two giant bridges will be required to cross from the Orashi and Sombriero Rivers to Odual.
He said the project is beyond what the local government council can do.
Speaking during the election, Daniel said if reelected, he would focus on improving the Abua/Odual Mass Transit Scheme.
He said the ABOLGA Transport Scheme would be rivived with new vehicles to enable the company to continue to ply the Port Harcourt-Abua route.
Daniel also said his administration would setup the Odual-Yenagoa transport line as Odual people normally travels to Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital.
He said his administration would also establish a fast food joint in Abua Central to save the people the risk of going to Ahoada anytime food is needed to entertain visitors.
Daniel also promised the administration’s readiness to sustain its scholarship scheme while educated Odual youths will be encouraged to search for greener pastures abroad.
