CDHR Alerts On OSPAC’s Activities

The Chairman of Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR), Comrade Amadi Paul Onuoha says issues emanating from some local vigilantes, OSPAC, are becoming a threat to peace.
Onuoha said though OSPAC members had played important roles in bringing sanity to most of communities in the State, some bad elements among them have made life miserable for people in communities.
According to him, the bad elements in OSPAC have caused damages to some persons and families.
“It appears that Ibaa Community in Emohua Local Government Area that has enjoyed relative peace in the past is being threatened.
“I implore on the new commissioner of police though trying in the very short time in office in the State, in combating crime, to look and investigate the identities of some of the bad elements in OSPAC, with a view to fish out the bad elements out and bring them to book”. he said.
He urged security agencies sent to Ibaa to investigate the identities of the bad elements in OSPAC’s leadership in the State.
The Chairman also said some residents of Eneka and Rukpokwu had complained of extortions by the Power Holding officials in their area.
He advised the Power Holding to be civil in carrying out their duties.
