Group Backs Ongoing NDDC Forensic Audit
A Coalition of South-South Political Parties (SSPPC) yesterday pledged its support to the ongoing Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) forensic audit.
The group made this known in a statement jointly signed by Mr Prince Rueben, the National Leader, Amb Joseph Omoregbe, National Secretary and Omangima Harry, Deputy National Secretary in Port Harcourt.
The forensic audit was set up by President Muhammadu Buhari to look into the activities of NDDC from inception to August 2019.
According to Rueben, all the political parties in the South-South have thrown their weight behind the NDDC forensic audit set up by Buhari.
“We call for the immediate dissolution of the Interim Management Board of the commission.
“We also demand for the constitutional composition of a substantial management board for the commission and urged that the audit be sustained and concluded on time.
“We also support the demands presented at the South-South Stakeholders Consultative Meeting led by Prof. Ibrahim Gambari and other Federal Government delegates which held in Port Harcourt.
“We frown and condemn the non-attendance of the Minister of Transportation during the meeting,’’ Reuben said.
