Cleric Predicts Successful Second Term For Wike
The General Overseer of Good Tidings Glorious Church, Iwofe,
Pastor Obihiel John has prophesied a successful second tenure for the Wike administration.
Pastor John who said this in an interview with The Tide in Port Harcourt said God revealed to him that Governor Wike will have a successful second term.
It would be recalled that the cleric had made several prophesies in the past which came to pass.
Among the prophesies was the invasion of Rivers State by the military in the 2019 elections and the emergence of Atiku Abubakar as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential candidate for the 2019 general elections.
According to the man of God, Rivers people will feel the positive impact of the present administration in the State.
The cleric however stressed the need for the Governor to include men of the clergy in his list of appointee,s especially those who stood with him during the period of the elections.
Meanwhile, Pastor John says the solution to the banditry and youth restiveness rocking the country lies on fervent prayers to God.
He said God told him that Nigerians must continue to pray to avert any calamity that might befall the nation.
Pastor John also called on the nation’s leadership to put the interest of the people above personal interest, stressing that those in position of leadership must put away greed and selfishness, over zealousness, wantonness and see everybody as equal, irrespective of tribe and political affiliation.

APC Resumes Electronic Membership Registration Nationwide
In a statement issued yesterday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mr Felix Morka, said the exercise would take place in all wards and designated centres nationwide.
He called on existing members to update their records, while encouraging new entrants to join the party through the digital platform.
“As the electronic membership registration exercise resumes in all wards and designated locations nationwide, we urge existing members to validate their membership while new members are encouraged to register and join the progressive family,” Mr Morka said.
According to him, eligibility for registration is limited to individuals aged 18 and above who possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN).
The party said the initiative is part of efforts to modernise its operations by transitioning to a digital database that would enhance record accuracy and accessibility.
Mr Morka noted that the e-registration would “digitise the party’s membership register, ensure the integrity of records, and enhance efficient access to membership data for planning and management decisions.”
He added that the move is also aimed at promoting internal democracy within the party and strengthening its commitment to democratic innovation.
The APC had previously introduced electronic registration as part of broader reforms to streamline its membership system and improve organisational efficiency.
