Democracy Day Celebration: NOA Felicitates With Nigerians
The Rivers State Director, National Orientation Agency, Mr Oliver Wolugbom has congratulated Nigerians on the Democracy Day celebration.
He expressed joy for the unbroken democracy that started in 1999 and for the faithfulness of Nigerians in believing the democratically elected government.
He used the opportunity to appeal to Nigerians to ensure that the democracy is consolidated by making sure they have their voters’ cards and participate in all democratic activities.
He called on politicians to take advantage of the celebration and take stock of their performances as well as focus on areas that would promote a better society.
He urged them to ensure that the unbroken democracy in the country is maintained and called on security agencies to ensure that they continue to support the growth of democracy by ensuring the traditional function of defending the territorial integrity of the nation.
He applauded all arms of government, the Legislature, Executive and Judiciary for playing the game according to the rules, stating that, this democracy has afforded the opportunity for people to know their rights and speak out on pressing issues associated with governance in a lawful manner.
He, therefore, wished the government and people of the state and the nation a happy Democracy Celebration.
