An Ultra-Modern Vesico

Speaking shortly after the commissioning, the State Deputy Governor, Professor Ivara Ejemot Esu stated that the development which was in consonance with the Governor, Ben Ayade’s vision of providing effective health care services for all Cross Riverians would address problems associated with obstetrics fistula repairs.
Professor Esu stated that gone were the days when Cross Riverians travelled long distances to access Fistula -related services at exorbitant costs, pointing out that the new facility which had already begun operations was imbued with highly trained and qualified doctors, nurses as well as other paramedical professionals to oversee the repairs of all forms of VVF.
He appealed to Cross Riverians affected by VVF -related cases to avail themselves of services provided there and assured of government’s continuous support in ensuring that the facilities lived up to the purpose for which it was established, stressing that similar effort would be put in other aspects of health care provision to achieve holistic results.
Earlier in a courtesy call on the Deputy Governor, on official of the United Nations Dr. Kenneth Ehougou explained that there were over 12 VVF centres across the country.
