Adamac, 170 Others Okayed For Free Zone Operations

DMS Nigeria Limited, the consulting firm to Onne Oil and Gas Free Zone and government’s eye at dedicated economic site has released a list of 171 licences as part of the measures to enhance better services at the Onne Free zone.
In a circular, DMSN/OPT/NCS/014/0499, the Operations Manager of DMS Nigeria Ltd, Tomislav Balen stated that the Free Zone licensees include ADAMAC Industries Limited, ADAMAC Pipes & Coasting Services Ltd, ADADAX Petroleum Development (Nig) Limited, ADDAX Petroleum, Exploration Nigeria Limited, ADDAX Petroleum JDZ$ Limited, INTELS Nigeria Limited and the Rivers State Housing & Property Development Company Limited.
Among the licensees were African Petroleum Oilfield Services, Baker Hughes Nigeria Limited, DAEWOO Nigeria Limited, OilTools (Africa) Limited, OIS Nigeria Limited, Sea Trucks Nigeria Limited, Star Deep Water, Tonimas Nigeria limited, WASCO Oil Service Company Nigeria Limited, West Atlantic Shipyard Limited, Portland Maritime Services Limited, BUSSDOR & Company Limited and Int’l Training & Logistic Coy Limited.
Major Oil Companies, subsidiary oil servicing firms as well as some baking institutions were also listed as the approved licensees at the Onne Free Zone.
In another development, authorities of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) have nominated a total of 105 officers for computer application and common external tariff trainings in Abuja and Port Harcourt.
Assistant Comptroler-General Mrs I. O. Okoli, said 75 officers of the approved participants for the training are for ICT foundation computer application to beheld at the Command and Staff College, Gwagwalada, Abuja next month while the remaining 30 Batch Two officers will undergo GIZ-ECOWAS capacity building on Common External (CET) scheduled for Zone C, Port Harcourt, also next month.
Okoli said the training programme was mandatory and important especially at the era of the PAAR and self-service provision by NCS, and enjoined all participants to use the programme to update their capacity towards contributing meaningfully to the economic growth of the country.
