Network Providers Record High Turnover Rate
Cable network providers
in Port Harcourt, have recorded a high rate of turnover I view of the ongoing World Cup in Brazil.
In a vox pop conducted by our reporter in Port Harcourt, Wednesday some subscribers said that they have subscribed for two months ahead.
Mr Tunde Balogun, said he had to even pay full subscription for his mobile DSTV in order to enable him get delails of all the matches.
He pointed out that he bought a fresh GOTV decoder for his family members to also enable them enjoy live actions from Brazil.
Balogun who was envious of the huge sells recorded by the network providers, said they ought to sales at a promo price to enable more customers buy their products.
A respondent, Joy Amadioha, who works with Multichoice, noted that sales have been on the increase since two weeks ago.
She also noted that other network like GOTV have recorded huge sales, adding that their prices are cheaper than others. Amadioha, maintained that she sold up to five units of GOTV in less that three days compared with the low sales before the commencement of the World Cup.
Relatively, some television technicians also admitted that they have made more money in repairs of TV sets.
Along Iloabuchi axis of the town, some of the technicians, said that they made upto N3,000 each day after repairing about 15 faulty tubes.
However, they have tasked TV producers to increase a little on quality of their producers, saying that most of them are too fragile.
