Firm Donates 4,000 Couches To Two Hospitals
The Management of Total
Nigeria Limited has donated 4,000 sheets of disposable couch cover to the Braithwaith Memorial Specialist Hospital, BMSH and 2000 of same items to the our lady Health of the sick hospital in Nkpogu Port Harcourt.
Presenting the items to the hospitals on behalf of Total, the Medical Administration and Methods Manager of the company, Mrs Blessing Kenanagha said the gesture was part of the company’s corporate social responsibilities to its host communities.
Kenanagha who was accompanied by the Operational Health Physician of Total, Dr. Jide Obosi, among other top officials of the company, lauded the beneficiary-hospitals for the immense contributions in the medical upkeep of Rivers residents.
Receiving the items onbehalf of BMSH, the Chief Medical Director of the Rivers State Hospitals Management Board, Dr. O.N. Iragunima commended Total over the gesture and assured that the items donated would be judiciously used.
The CMD, who was represented by the Director Medical and Dental Services in the Board, Dr. Mrs Grace Otamiri also called on other multinational companies operating in Rivers State to assist in the development of health institutions in the state.
In her remarks, the Medical Director of BMSH, Dr. Mrs Olukummi Yetunde Ijeruh also thanked the company for donating the items, which she said would be used in the various departments for better service delivery.
Speaking onbehalf of the proprietor of our lady Health of the sick hospital, Most Rev. Caminus Etukudo, Catholic Bishop of Port Harcourt diocese, the head of Administration of the hospital, Rev. Father Noel Nalelo, expressed gratitude over the company’s gesture.
The Chief Medical Director of the Hospital, Rev. Sister Vivien Okereke, also commended the company over its concern towards the development of the hospital.
