PH-Based Show Biz Personality Lauds New Miss Nigeria …As Miss Ebiere Emerges MBGN Queen
Few weeks after Miss Akudo Ezinne Anyaoha emerged winner of the 28
th edition of Miss Nigeria beauty pageant held at the Intercontinental hotel Victoria Island Lagos the 23 years old queen has continued to receive accolades from the public for her superlative achievement.
The most recent commendation came from a Port Harcourt based showbiz personality and consultant with Human Systems Consult. Prince Kingsley C. Mini who described her achievement as historic and an encouragement to young women who aspire to improve on their social status as future queens.
Prince Mini who spoke with The Tide Entertainment recently, also lauded the organizers of the Event, Quintessentially Nigeria for giving the pageant a new look and for its organizational expertise which he said are in with modern realities compared to past events.
Miss Akudo beat 20 other contestants to clinch the crown, while queen Celestine and Sadig Olive Chiama emerged the first and second runners up respectively.
The new queen was splashed with a cash prize of three million naira, a brandnew Toyota Corolla Sedan car, a trip to California in United States of America, one year accommodation and Free trip to any part of Nigeria amongst other gifts, while the runners up also received consolation prizes.
The event which was chaired by the first Miss Nigeria, 1957 Edition Mrs. Grace Oyelude attracted the who is who in Nigeria including Chief Raymond Dokpesi of DAAR Communications, Hon. Abike Dabiri Eruwa etc.
Meanwhile, in a related development, 18 year old, Miss Anna Ebiere Banner has won the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) 2013 crown which was held recently at the Banquet Hall, government house Yenagoa with the state governor, Hon Seriake Dickson as the chief host.
Miss Ebiere Banner, an under graduate of University of Port Harcourt, hails from Sagbama local government area of Bayelsa State. She walked away with the crown, a brand new car and a polo cartia wrist watch. She will also represent Nigeria at the Miss world pageant later in the year. Her Victory also fetched her immediate appointment as the special assistant to the Bayelsa State Governor on Culture and Tourism and Bayelsa State ambassador on Culture and Tourism.
Among the diguitaries that graced the occasion were Chief and Mrs DSP Alamieyesigha, King of Twon Brass HRH King Alfred Diette Spiff, Samson Siasia, Miss Ekeinde and a most of others.

They Booed, Threw Bottles At Me – Tems Recounts
R&B star, Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has recounted the early-career challenges she faced, revealing that she was once booed out of the stage while performing at a school event.
Speaking in an interview with Newsmen, the Crazy Tings crooner shared that she wasn’t only booed but was also harassed with plastic bottles.
“I remember one time I was going to perform at my school as an up-and-coming singer and I thought I was going to receiving a standing ovation.
“But I got booed. They even threw plastic bottles at me,” she recalled.
Tems explained that despite the embarrassing incident and other such rejections, she remained determined to pursue a career in music.
The Tide Entertainment reports that Tems admitted that some of the initial rejections she faced could be due to her conviction to stick to her originality instead of doing covers or familiar sounds like most of her peers.
The Grammy-winning singer said looking back now, she is glad that she didn’t compromise her style despite the initial pressures.

Primeboy Pleads For Mohbad’s Burial
A close associate of late singer Mohbad, Primeboy, has appealed for the artiste’s burial nearly three years after his death.
According to him, Mohbad’s body remains in the mortuary since September 12, 2023, pending burial arrangements.
The Tide Entertainment reports that in a statement Primeboy urged the family, public, and government to permit the burial, stating, “It’s been almost three years since Mohbad left us. His body is still in the mortuary. I’m begging the family, I’m begging the public, I’m begging the government, please let’s bury our brother. He deserves a befitting burial.”
It would be recalled that Mohbad’s death sparked public outrage, protests, and investigations. Ongoing autopsy examinations, police inquiries, and legal proceedings have delayed burial arrangements amid family disagreements and public scrutiny.
