Uma Ukpai Proclaims Cleansing In Etche Communities
An inspirational preacher, Rev.
Uma Ukpai has said that an uncommon cleansing is underway in all communities in
Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State, stressing that such cleansing
would become a reality only, if the people of Etche can return to God with all
their hearts.
Rev. Ukpai made the proclamation at a one-day crusade
tagged, “Etche for Christ City Wide Crusade 2013” with the theme: “Finger of
God” organised by the Kingdom Vision initiative Int’l in partnership with the
Etche Local Government Council held at the Council Secretariat, Okehi,
Saturday.
Speaking on a sermon entitled: “the Finger of God”, Rev.
Ukpai said when God visit a community there is always a change in their
situation and challenges adding that a very forces militating against their
success are set aside.
According to him, “the will of God is not for his people
to suffer but to be enrich with good health, prosperity” noting that the
irresponsible attitude of people has brought suffering to their lives.
He identified generosity as a necessary tools for one to
be endowered with God’s blessing and favour and urged people to cultivate the
spirit of given in their life so as to attract God’s Blessing.
He used the opportunity to call on the privileged ones
in the society to help the less privileged and make peace with God adding that
in doing so, the society would become more better for all, and lauded the
leadership of the council for organising the programme assuring them of God’s
intervention in the area.
Earlier in his speech, the Chairman of the Council,
barrister Reginald Ukwuoma said the reason behind the programme was to bring
the people of Etche closer to God, adding that God is the only source for human
life.
Barrister Ukwuoma urged the people to embraced the
lesson of the crusade and return their heart to God for upliftment adding that
“when the people are spiritually bind together, success will be their”.
He thanked the people for attending the programme and
reinstated his administration’s commitment for the betterment of the people.
