It is on record that some Nollywood Stars are making their millions in the make believe industry while others are living below expectation.
Those thespians that belong to the millionaires class for their movies incidentally are the best acts rocking the industry with their profiles rising by the day.
Some of them have even gone International and now earn their fees in foreign currencies though such big budget movies come once in a long while, while the constant faces in all the fast selling movies smile to the bank on daily basis.
Among the Millionare class in Nollywood are:
Genvieve Nnaji: She has been part of the big budget movies shot in Hollywood and other parts of the country. It was reported that her fee is about 9000 dollars.
Nkem Owoh: He was for many years now, remained the highest earner in Nollywood. Mr. Osuofi as he is popularly known, is one Thespian who till date earns over a million naira for movie roles, he has also added some endorsement deals to his evergreen career.
Olu Jacobs: He is a seasoned actor whose presence in any movie gives an added value. He is unarguably, the most respected actor in Nollywood, his role is always that of a royal character that suits him well. He also belongs to the millionaire class.
Kenneth Okonkwo: Popularly known as ‘Andy’, he ranks as one of the biggest actors in Nollywood, his face has become a vital one in most movie productions and the least he gets for his role is N1.5 million
Patience Ozokwor: Popularly called Mama G, she is one of the biggest female brands in Nollywood and the highest carning actress. Producers cue to have her in their movies.
Rita Dominic: The award winning actress belongs to the category of those selling Nollywood abroad and packeting their millions in foreign currencies. She recently won Best Actress in Kenya known as Kalasha award, the biggest movie award in Kenya.
Omotola Jalade: This goddess of Nollywood has remained the most sought after for all the big budget movies that have transformed Nollywood. She is now paid in foreign currencies as well.
Mercy Johnson: She is the hottest actress rocking the movie industry, she earns over a million Naira for each movie role and she is virtually in all the movies. She was once reportedly paid a whooping N5 million to shave off her hair in a movie.
Ini Edo: Apart from maintaining her position as one of the highest paid actresses, she has numerous endor-sements that fetch her good money.
Tonto Dike: She is also one of the big earning actresses in Nollywood and she is making her money from movies produced in Nollywood
Chike Ike: The sultry and delectable actress is also among the richest actresses in Nolywood with houses and exotic cars to her cedit. She earns over a million Naira per movic role.
.Ngozi Ezeonu: She has been in the industry for a long while and she is today enjoying the fruits of her labour. She is among the highest earners right now in Nollywood.
Oge Okoye: Oge who bounced back to Nollywood last year after exiting from the industry to raise her family four years ago is now the rave of the Moment in Nollywood and she is paid handsomely for her roles.
Mike Ezuruonye: Mike Ezuruonye is right now at the peak of his career, the handsome actor is one of the highest earners presently in Nollywood.

They Booed, Threw Bottles At Me – Tems Recounts
R&B star, Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has recounted the early-career challenges she faced, revealing that she was once booed out of the stage while performing at a school event.
Speaking in an interview with Newsmen, the Crazy Tings crooner shared that she wasn’t only booed but was also harassed with plastic bottles.
“I remember one time I was going to perform at my school as an up-and-coming singer and I thought I was going to receiving a standing ovation.
“But I got booed. They even threw plastic bottles at me,” she recalled.
Tems explained that despite the embarrassing incident and other such rejections, she remained determined to pursue a career in music.
The Tide Entertainment reports that Tems admitted that some of the initial rejections she faced could be due to her conviction to stick to her originality instead of doing covers or familiar sounds like most of her peers.
The Grammy-winning singer said looking back now, she is glad that she didn’t compromise her style despite the initial pressures.

Primeboy Pleads For Mohbad’s Burial
A close associate of late singer Mohbad, Primeboy, has appealed for the artiste’s burial nearly three years after his death.
According to him, Mohbad’s body remains in the mortuary since September 12, 2023, pending burial arrangements.
The Tide Entertainment reports that in a statement Primeboy urged the family, public, and government to permit the burial, stating, “It’s been almost three years since Mohbad left us. His body is still in the mortuary. I’m begging the family, I’m begging the public, I’m begging the government, please let’s bury our brother. He deserves a befitting burial.”
It would be recalled that Mohbad’s death sparked public outrage, protests, and investigations. Ongoing autopsy examinations, police inquiries, and legal proceedings have delayed burial arrangements amid family disagreements and public scrutiny.
