HOS Assures On Workers Welfare
The newly sworn-in Head of Rivers State Civil Service (HOS),
Barrister Samuel Long-John has said that his priority would be on the welfare
and training of workers in the state.
According to a statement signed by the press officer, office
of the Head of Service, Bamson George, the Head of Service, who assumed office
last week in Port Harcourt also said that he would work to ensure that all
civil servants are ICT complaint.
Speaking at a meeting with the Permanent Secretary, service
welfare, Mr. Lambert Ekwueme and Heads of Departments in his office, has urged all civil servants to join hands
with him as he charts a new course for the state’s civil service toward
ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
He charged civil servants to exhibit high sense of work
ethics and professionalism to enable the Governor Chibuike Amaechi-led
administration deliver more democratic dividends to the people of the state.
The Head of Service, who until his recent appointment was
the permanent Secretary, Ministry of Employment and Empowerment, took over from
former HOS, Mrs Esther Anucha who retired from serv ice last month.
