AKULGA Swears-in Supervisors, Special Advisers
Politicians has been advised to keep party politics aside and deliver the dividends of democracy to their wards. The Chairman of Akuku-Toru Local Government Area, Hon. Theodore Samuel Georgewill made this call while swearing-in his Supervisors and Special Advisers in the Chairman’s Executive Chamber in Abonnema, headquarters of Akuku-Toru Local Government Area.
Mr Theodore Georgewill, thanked all those present especially the leadership of Akuku-Toru Legislative Assembly for their understanding during the trying times of the council and urged the Appointees to see themselves as ambassadors of the council that have the mandate to move Akuku-Toru forward by providing service and people-oriented projects and ensuring security in the Local Government Area.
The oath of office was administered by Mr Justice Amadi a Senior Magistrate and witnessed by Mr Sonny Iwo, a Senior Registrar 1 of Degema Magisterial District.
Among those sworn-in as Supervisors are: Mr Ogbete Agbasi – Youth & Sports, Hon. Stanley Benibo-Industrial Relation/Community Affairs, Ms Anthonia Dan-Health, Mr Augustine Briggs-Works, Mr. Christian Sekibo –Education, and Hon Lawrence Kelly Jack – Agriculture, while these sworn-in as Advisers are Mr Emmanuel Alabraba – Environment, Mr Dabotubo Douglas-Commerce and Industry, Chief Ibiba A. Georgewill – Chieftaincy Affairs Mr Ibingo Whyte-Political Affairs, and Mrs Tokin Jack-Women Affairs.
