Cleric Tasks Christians On Unity
The International Presiding Elder of Faith Tabernacle Congregation, Pastor Kenneth Yeager has stressed the need for Christians to unite and fight against the plans of Satan, to cause division in his kingdom.
Pastor Yeager made this appeal while reacting to an address by the Presiding Elder of the Church in Nigeria, Pastor Marshall Wellington Bara during the Board of Elders meeting at Aba, Abia State recently.
He said that the theme of the meeting, “The fruits of Unity” was apt because of the activities of Satan to cause disunity among Christians and create division.
According to him, Satan is delighted in breaking up churches and homes, and therefore enjoined all Christians to resist such tendencies, even though man’s refusal to follow God’s instructions had been a problem of old.
“Being humble in Christian life is important in order to enjoy God’s blessings and backing in all that we do,” the International Presiding Elder noted, and appealed to everyone to unite and shun external influences.
In his address, Pastor Bara said as God’s own people, Christians must work in unity to achieve a common goal and obey his commandments.
The Presiding Elder of the Church in Nigeria, noted that where there is unity there is progress, stressing that Christians should walk together in love and purity. that if sin is allowed in our lives and ministry, unity would be affected and progress cannot be achieved, he added.
“Let us as both pastors and members be united first of all in purity, righteousness love, and be remembered for our good works, pointing out that true love finds its level only when divine love and unity exist.
Pastor Bara said Satan is a divider, and therefore nobody should open the doors of the church to Satan as he only comes to destroy, kill and steal.
He used the forum to thank members for their spiritual and financial support during their trip to the United States of America recently.
