…As MD Assures On Govt Dev Goals, Jobs Creation
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Treasure Energy Resources Limited TRL, Dr. Eddie Wikina says, the company will strive to put Rivers State with is abundant human and natural resources, on the map of oil and gas in the country.
Dr. Wikina was fielding questions from journalists in Port Harcourt, shortly after the handing over of the registration and other vital documents of the company by the Prof. Nimi Briggs-led Rivers State Economic Advisory Council in Port Harcourt.
He said the company would pursue the development goals of government, create employment as well as help indigenous contractors have access to jobs.
The chief executive officer of the TERL said the company will focus on human capital development and encourage local content in their operations.
According to him, Treasure Energy Resources Limited will be involved in both upstream and downstream operations, but its focus on downstream will be on Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).
TERL’s mission is to actively participate directly and indirectly in Petroleum Exploration and Production (E&P) activities in order to utilise the abundant resources available in Rivers State, as a major stakeholder and repository of petroleum resources.
The board of the company was appointed and inaugurated by the state Governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi on January 22, 2010.
