RVHA Passes Vote Of Confidence On Amaechi
The Rivers State House of Assembly has passed a Vote of Confidence on the Rivers State Governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi for his achievements in infrastructural development.
The Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Tonye Harry, who presided over the Special Session Friday said the House was satisfied with the performance of Governor Amaechi, and finds it necessary to pass a Vote of Confidence on him.
Hon. Harry observed that despite the Governor’s indecision on second term in office, the House of Assembly is asking him to consider the wishes of the people, to run for a second term in office, to consolidate on the achievements already made.
The Speaker noted that the Governor is someone that is cherished by all Rivers people for his courage and also believes in touching the lives of the people at the rural areas as more developmental projects are sited outside the state capital.
Responding, Governor Chibuike Amaechi thanked members of the Rivers State House of Assembly for the honour done him, and assured them that the present administration would continue to embark on projects that would move the state forward.
The event featured the cutting of his 45th birthday cake, and a special birthday song for Governor Amaechi who turned 45 yesterday.
